About Us

Greetings and Peace to you all!

Since 1863 St. Peter’s Lutheran Church has stood proudly in South Bethlehem! The proud and honored lineage of our forbearers has paved the way for the proper proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the administration of the Holy Sacraments, and has served the people of this community uninterrupted for 151 years! Without a doubt the manner in which God’s children share the gospel in the 21st century is different from the manner in which it was shared in 1863, yet our purpose and our mission remains steadfast with those who have come before us.

Today, you will find a community of faith that gathers together with diverse backgrounds, yet serves a common mission; to share the “Good News” of God’s love with the world in which we live. We are a community that openly invites and welcomes all of God’s children within our midst regardless of the color of your skin, the size of your body, the amount of money in your wallet, your sexual orientation, or any other identification that you may carry in this world. We are a community that attempts to live out our faith each day of our lives and share the joy that comes from having a deeply rooted understanding that indeed our God shares abundant blessings in this world.

Take a moment to look through our website to see the wonderful ministries that occur on a regular basis, but then follow the advice that Jesus Himself shared with the earliest disciples. “Come and see” for yourself the wonderful spirit which dwells within our community. “Come and see” the many ways in which God’s children are fed within these walls, “Come and see” that God’s love continues to pervade within the walls that were established so many years ago!

I look forward to greeting you and welcoming you within our midst!

Peace to you!
Pastor Jerry Kulp
